Announcement on the Adoption of a Rolling Publication Model (Effective 2026)
Studies in Art and Architecture (SAA) is pleased to announce that, starting from Volume 5 (2026), the journal will adopt a rolling (continuous) publication model.
Under this model, manuscripts that have successfully completed peer review and final production will be published online immediately, without waiting for the release of a complete issue. Each article will receive its own online publication date and DOI, which together constitute the official record of publication.
From 2026 onward, issue numbers will be used solely for indexing and archival purposes. The assignment of an article to a specific issue will not affect its official publication date or citation status. Articles published online will be fully citable upon release.
This transition aims to improve the timeliness of academic dissemination while maintaining the journal’s established editorial standards and review rigor. All articles published under the rolling publication model remain subject to the same peer-review process and quality requirements as before.
We believe this change will better serve authors, readers, and indexing services by ensuring faster visibility and accessibility of accepted research.
