This qualitative multiple-case study examined the role of informal mindfulness training in enhancing sound decision-making and behavioral self-regulation among students in three secondary schools in Kibibi Town Council, Butambala District: Kibibi Secondary School, Kibibi Muslim Secondary School, and Kibibi Parents Secondary School. Guided by (Bandura, 1991), data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 9 teachers (3 per school) and focus group discussions with 30 students (10 per school). Findings revealed prevalent challenges, including impulsivity in fights, betting, examination malpractice, and peer-influenced risk-taking. Implementation involved low-cost, culturally adapted practices such as deep breathing, two-minute silence periods, and integration with Islamic prostration (Sujuud) for reflection. Positive impacts included improved impulse control, a cognitive “pause” between stimulus and response, better emotional regulation, and reflective choices in academics and social interactions. The study concludes that informal mindfulness practices offer a promising, feasible strategy for fostering self-regulation in resource-limited Ugandan secondary schools, though sustainability requires formalization. Recommendations include teacher training, structured integration into school routines, district workshops, and national policy consideration for social-emotional learning (SEL) components.
Kikomeko Joseph, Dr. Muweesi Charles Copyright (c) 2026 https://www.paradigmpress.org/SPS/article/view/2070 Thu, 07 May 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Effect of Occupational Health and Safety Measures on Healthcare Providers’ Performance in Fako, Cameroon https://www.paradigmpress.org/SPS/article/view/2071
As healthcare professionals face numerous occupational hazards that affect their physical and mental well-being, effective occupational health and safety protocols are essential for enhancing their performance and ensuring quality patient care. The objective of this study is to examine the effect of occupational health and safety measures on the performance of healthcare providers in the Fako Division of Cameroon. Based on a multiple regression on a sample of sample of 150 healthcare providers working in the Fako Division of Cameroon, it is found that, physical health measures and regulatory compliance have a significant effect on the healthcare providers’ performance. This means that, an improvement in occupational health and safety initiatives will significantly improve the level of healthcare providers’ performance in hospitals in Fako division. Conversely, the effect of mental health measures is found to insignificantly affect healthcare providers’ performance. The study emphasises the importance of integrating an inclusive occupational health and safety protocols within healthcare settings to foster a safe and supportive work environment.
Giyoh Gideon Nginyu, Ngala Maxcel Talah, Giyoh Veronique Copyright (c) 2026 https://www.paradigmpress.org/SPS/article/view/2071 Thu, 07 May 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Synergy of Clear Consciousness, Quantum Brain, and Spatial Extrasensory Soul as Research Toolkit https://www.paradigmpress.org/SPS/article/view/2072
Developing a coherent functioning of consciousness, the quantum brain, and the spatial extrasensory soul is a complex interdisciplinary task, combining neuroscience, physics, philosophy, and spiritual practices. Practical implementation of the coherent functioning of consciousness, the quantum brain, and the spatial extrasensory soul as a research tool will deepen our understanding of the real world and expand scientific boundaries. Consciousness realizes its coherent functioning through subjective experience, including perception, thinking, memory, and self-awareness. Coherent functioning implies the integration of various cognitive quantum and mental processes into a single, harmonious system, ensuring a holistic perception of reality and harmony with the surrounding world. Quantum processes provide features of consciousness such as subjectivity and speed of action. Researchers associate quantum effects with states of expanded consciousness. The spatial extrasensory soul has the ability to perceive information beyond the usual senses, including space and time (extrasensory perception). It possesses spatial connectivity and the ability to interact with the surrounding reality on a subtle level. Then, consciousness and quantum processes within the brain, linked to the soul possessing extrasensory abilities, facilitate the activation of spatial perceptions, enhancing integration with the quantum aspect of consciousness. The development of a coherent functioning of consciousness, the quantum brain, and the spatial extrasensory soul opens up prospects for an expanded understanding of nature, human consciousness, and its interaction with the surrounding world.
Evgeny Bryndin Copyright (c) 2026 https://www.paradigmpress.org/SPS/article/view/2072 Thu, 07 May 2026 00:00:00 +0000
